Looking for insight on man hour quoting. What do you guys use for figuring man hours?
I've been in the business for 15 years and just pull from my experience for quoting hours. But I would like to have some sort of data base to make it quicker and more consistent.

I started a job costing spreadsheet on excel a few years back. It helps me look at how long it took someone to perform a certain task. Keep detailed records as best as possible. It has helped me quite a bit. My estimates are a lot closer now.

Craftsman books, Home Improvement Estimator. $90 or so for book and software. Not sure if I would ever trust it completely, but great for things you don't do regularly, like a drop ceiling, or running vinyl baseboards.
