I've always used a craft knife to cut 45 degree angles in tubular pipe insulation and botched it most of the time. Then I use a lot of tape to hide the botch. Since I was in a customer's crawl space the other day and saw what looked like dozens of perfectly cut 45's, I can't bear to screw up another attempt until I discover how the builder's plumber did it. Looked like he used a laser it was so perfect and NO TAPE; there were no gaps at all. Anyone know the trick? (There just has to be a trick to this one!) Jim
