Yes, straight through. It will be sistered to the rim board.Is it all the way through the layer like that? I have seen some start, but once they are all nailed together I don't think it is an issue. We have more problems with the cupping than anything else.
Yea there are a few things I am not thrilled about. The outside layers are peeling as well.Looks like it was sitting in water then froze. Awful lot of stains to be new also. Been sitting out for at least a year is my bet
Most of the ones we get are in pristine shape when they arrive. Occasionally, we get one that looks like it has been passed around a few jobsites. Those tend to show up gray, cupped, and cracked.
