Last week I got my set of prints for a new project, 13 pages for a 8x26 farmers porch. After reviewing the prints I only have one concern. The 4 posts going from the sono tubes to the beam holding up the roof are 4x4 lsl. The lsl are going to be wrapped and the porch will have gutters.
Typically we would use 4x4 - 6x6 pt for posts. My concern is how the bottom of the lsl posts are going to hold up to moisture. Before the posts are installed I'm going to paint them to try to seal the posts. But it does not seem like the proper product for this application.
