Sheetrock carry. (Liberty Ave)

I live 4 blocks away from a major hardware store. I am remodeling a home in queens. I need someone (that is very strong) to carry 100 sheets of sheetrock from the store to my house that i am remodeling. Since sheetrock comes in sets of two that will only be 50 short trips. The pay is $ 30 bucks. Dont worry if you get hot i have bottles of water you can drink. Need this tomorrow morning (Monday) It makes no sense to me to get the delvery from the store since i only live 4 little blocks away,. the 50 trips shouldnt take more than one hour.

WTF 4 blks 50 trips in 60 mins for 30. :blink::blink:

Seen as guy the other day on CL, just went to look for it but it's gone. Needed garage sided, 12sq w/ soffit and fascia installed, has all material(didn't say what type). Claimed a really good sider could finish in 1 hour, which he would pay $100 so, if you can do it in 2 hours you'd make $50/hr.!

Like he needs to do the math! I sent him an email asking if it was 12sq inches of work that need to be done.

Handyman is needed to remodel a small bathroom. 12 feet by 14 feet. Need to remove old tiles, old sink old toilet, old electric, Need to install new tile with the muddy puddy, new toilet and new sink and also new electic. I am on a budget and short on funds, since I had to buy the supplies. Shortcuts with the electric is ok, as longs as it works!

Thanks!!

email me please,,...I am located on Linden blvd near church avenue and my name is Winston.
Please bring your tools and wet saw to cut the tiles,....as the only tool I have is a screw driver.

  • Location: Brooklyn.
  • it's NOT ok to contact this poster with services or other commercial interests
  • Compensation: $ 150 for complete job and finish in 2 days please.
Unbelievable

Just a guess here, not having seen the work, but given the description of the work this clown provides, the only chance of getting it done in 2 days is to define that as actual work time- 48 hours. That gives you a little over $3 an hour. And that's probably pretty optimistic.

At least electric isn't all that important to get right:eek:

muddy puddy
Uhhh... I guess I've never heard it called that before...

Since when the hell is a 12 x 14 bathroom considered small. I don't think my kitchen is that big.

I stand corrected:

"Muddy Puddy™ is an exciting and inviting new modeling compound. It is made from real dirt and other fine ingredients from our precious Mother Earth! Use your imagination to create great mud monsters, mud faces, mud castles and mud creatures. Have lots of fun discovering all the dirt’s features. Muddy Puddy is great for hours of good clean play!"

You get what you pay for.Even when the electric burns down an entire city block and he gets hammered in court he still wont get it. You got to love those people that read some real estate books and go to a seminar and think that they have a clue. Had one once that acted funny outright and told me that their budget for a new roof was $1500.(two layer tear off, new cdx and 40-year) I explained that the deposit on the scope of work they were talking about would be around $5000 (kitchen and bath work too) and that $1500 would not even cover the carting fees. They thought that I was trying to rip them off, I walked, drove by every now and then and there has been almost no progress.

....I just got a phone call from CL...I got $150 to trim the bottom of 4 hollow core doors now that the new carpet makes them drag. Pretty good sat. morning job if you ask me...my first and only decent CL call. The guy seems pretty nice, said he chose me b/c he followed the link to my webpage. He felt more comfortable with me then some of the other "no name" carpenters on there b/c I had the page, all my contact info up there and my state number with a link back to the state so it could be verified.
