Had a doozy about 5 years ago- guy was suing Burger King for him being overweight- he ate there 5 days a week........WTF ..:blink:


Now we have the FDA wanting to remove trans fats from all & any food being sold .......


Apparently we cant make wise food choices for ourselves and need to be controlled. however- I can sew my table saw manufacturers for my poor decision and the 9-1/2 finger outcome......:blink:

I heard the reason why the CMS table saw is never gonna be released in the US is because of crap like this. Way to easy for idiots to sue a company for millions because of their own stupidity.

what should happen is they get no money and then have to take a safty course on using power tools for a week and then pay a fine for using a tool they were not meant to be using.

I don't think it is any mystery to the general public that a table saw can be dangerous. It also can be very convenient. The user assumes the risk when he chooses to utilize the convenience. Now if you are told to use it by an employer, then that issue does not involve the tool maker, but rather Workers Compensation.

At least it has a guard. I doubt it cuts that accurately given the blade is wobbling all over the place.

I think about 2 years ago they started requiring that all saws come with attached splitters. Many portable saws didn't come with splitters but they do now.
