I'm looking for some no bore, concealed hinges that would go on cabinets with face frames. Thing is the doors are only 1/2" wider than the openings, so they overlay about 1/4" on each side with the present hinges.
I found some 3/8 overlay ones, which I assume means it overlays 3/8" on the hinge side.

If that's the case, that's cutting it pretty close.

Anyone know of any hinges that would work in this application.

I can't use Euro hinges because the edges of the raised panel doors are routed, so I don't have a full 3/4" there.

Any help is much appreciated.

A euro hinge needs a 35mill hole about 1/2" deep.

If you can bore a hole that deep within 3 mill of the edge of the door you can do this with a Blum hinge and a 6mill plate.

Try Rockler.com and check semi concealed hinges. Other than this - I can't think of an option without bore.
Good luck

I really like Rockler, but they were pretty unhelpful and displayed a lot less knowlege on the subject that I would have expected. One guy on the phone last night and the first guy I talked to at the store today, were fairly ignorant about Blum hinges, but worse they were trying to BS me into thinking they knew what they were doing or talking about.

I mean don't get me wrong, we all have limits to our knowledge, no big deal.
But don't try and act like you are actually an expert on the subject when you can't answer basic questions I'm asking. And I'm no genius, so they weren't hard questions. :)

Finally another worker there, I suspect sensed my frustration and came over and was at least a little helpful. But when I asked about no bore concealed hinges, he didn't really have a clue just said, 'yeah I'm sure they have them, you just have to do some research'.

I was amazed I got out of there without spending any money, there's always something in there I see I want.

Can't do it. The edges of the doors are shaped, it doesn't have the depth.
Even though I pretty much knew that already, that was one of the things I wanted the guys at Rockler to confirm for me.

So then a standard face frame plate is out. They only go to 6 mill.

You can use a 6mill bore and a euro 9 mill plate. Can you get your 1/2" deep hole at 6mill from the edge?

Got any pics of this door?

Grass makes a compact hinge that only needs a 3/8" deep hole

http://www.grassusa.com/faceframe2.html
Oh yeah

Blum has a mini hinge we use for narrow stiles. Takes a slightly larger that 1" hole. Not too sure how deep. But I bet it is around 3/8".

If you can get 3/8" deep at 3mill you can use a 6mill frame plate. You need to confirm the bore depth though.

Would that be a 26mm hole Gus?

That's close enough to 1/2" for me Gus. Looks like if he is forced to use bored hinges he will have to go with the Grass.

It is all I use.

Bump.

Anyone else want to try?

Again, I'm looking for a no bore, 1/4" overlay concealed hinge on face frame cabs.

I found this one here: http://www.dlawlesshardware.com/nofafrcohilq.html
not yet sure if I could get it to work for the 1/4" overlay I need.
Gonna give them a call tomorrow.

But that's along the lines of what I need.

Thanks for all the input guys.
