Looking for a pump to drain the left over water water out of tanks. We have tanks that have uneven bottoms and the drain is a one inch pipe the goes over and in the tank to almost the bottom with a check valve. We have been using a ridged wet dry vac to vacuum out the last of the water but after enclosing it all with a geodesic dome I’m trying to find something more practical that I can install outside the dome and just hook a hose up to that will be able to pull the last bit of water out without losing pressure because of air intake. I’ve been looking up a few pumps but have not had experience with any and can not figure out if they will work in this application.

I pump out tanks a lot on the ranch.
A submersible will get to about a 1/4” or so.
I have not found anything other than a Shop Vac for getting them dry. 👍

Not familiar with the term. Can you elaborate and give an example? We also haven't been able to find any pumps that work as well as a shop vac for that application.
They are pumps designed to draw down to 1mm of fluid.
This is the brand that my the rental yard my father owned rented;

Install the tank so there is low end, I.e. out of plumb both directions to reduce wet area.
Hammer a pocket into the floor of the tank....
BUY the right stuff next time? More thinking, less smoking maybe?
Pour quality concrete into tank to create bottom geometry NEEDED for minimum labor, clean tankage? like modern sewer sumps and storm water "manhole" pits/ junctions.
No gravity drainage?????????????? wtf?

You can try looking for a pump to drain the leftover water out of tanks in your area. But first, make sure you can fix it yourself. I've had problems with the sewerage, and I thought I could solve the problem by myself, without asking the advice of a specialist. What do you think? I made things worse, and some pipes eventually broke. My rescue was the installers from https://rooterworx.ca/ who repaired the entire system and replaced all the rusty pipes. That's why I'd advise you to be careful when you start any work of that kind in the house.
