I use Ardex K15 to level a hoopty concrete sub floor.

In terms of techniques, what do you do to help level the agent if anything?

I've used rakes. But I had heard somewhere that you can't use metal with the leveling agents.

Is this true?

Don't know. But apparently they sell special shoes that have plastic cleats so you can walk out into the wet field after pouring the self leveling agent.

All I've heard of is pour, screed, and leave. Comeback when the floor is dry. :cheesygri
