Hi there. As a bussiness we have been subcontracting for most of our work but are looking to increase the number of direct contracts which we do. I am looking for a good example of a legal disclaimer for bids. Does anyone know where to find one? Thanks.

I don't know that I would worry about a disclaimer in a bid. You will end up with some kind of contract anyway. If you are talking about "this bid valid for X days", most GC's ignore it on bid day. If you have a good price, they'll call you back and ask if you can do it for, say 10% less than you bid.

You can simply refuse to honor a bid. Most GC's aren't going to do anything about it, except never use you again.

You might have a conversation with your lawyer to see if you need to add anything that is specific to your business.
Agreed, an attorney is the best source for the proper answer; plus you'd want an attorney to prepare any legal disclaimer so it's executable in all the necessary situations.
