How long should I let concrete cure or set up before laying a few courses of small concrete bricks on top of it? This is a tiny pour to fill a void in a window opening? Should I have sunk them into the concrete or is it okay to lay mortar bed to start first course? I'm obviously not a mason but I'm doing a bathroom remodel that's requiring some light masonry to fit a glass block panel.

On site concrete foundations are usually poured one day and the brickwork or blockwork is started the next day. The text books will tell you to leave it longer.

Agree with all the above, Use some high early strength(quick setting) portland cement concrete bag of premix. Really impatient, use hot water, 2x add a tiny bit of chloride powder or liquid (masonry quick set additive).
Next time plan ahead 2 days.....
Durabond 90-45 etc... with some pea rock aggerate????

I've laid many a school footing on 4 hour old concrete spread footings(leaving boot prints) with no probelms in the summer time...
