Apparently there is science in dice. For one thing my 3 has the wrong angle, it should be the opposite. There are right and left handed dice, mine are right handed. With the 1 up the 2 will be on the left and the 3 will be on the right. And casino dice are balanced so each side weighs the same. They accomplish that by filling the pips in with a material that weighs the same as the material the die is made from. They are also square with an accuracy of .0005". Oh ya, the dots are called pips....

I guess I won't be providing dice to Foxwood's anytime soon.

Haven't played with the laser in a while. I think it was lonely. I had a client bring me some wood candle jar covers. So I engraved a flower bouquet on one of them and sprayed clear on it. The Pine burns nice, 60% at 700mm/min. I'll do it at 50% or less next time.

First large commissioned order completed. 62 tumblers. Got a couple more similar sized orders on the horizon. Getting ready to order our second laser before they take a price increase. Now I just need to get our new shop addition insulated & get the duct work ran in there.

An idea tp share;

The wind was closing the doors at the Parade home. Door stops were needed.

All the doors are 2.5" thich.

We made the stop out of RSWO because the floors and entery door are RSWO.

We produced these easily, it was Roberts idea to extend them and add our logo.

I'm pretty sure this will lead me to a laser engraver so I can do smaller ones with anyones logo/name on them.

That's something I could see be kicked around for a few generations.
Seriously.

Be forwarned, it's addicting. :) I'd recomend going with a c02 laser instead of a diode. Faster burns, more versatile. You can pick up a k40 for just over $500

Here's the best I could do with the software based on the pic you posted. I just finished a job with some wide plank engineered walnut flooring that would probably work pretty well for what you're looking for.
