Does anyone know what kind of nest i found in this attic ? its over 16" in diameter?

Yup, thats a typical Squirrel nest. I had one in a house I was renting 20+ years ago, when the little ones grew, all day long screeching and chasing all over the attic. Had to run em out and seal their entrance... 2 years later they were back!

Yea,
Looks like a fire hazzard to me.
All it would take is a leak in the roof to get that hay ball smoldering.

It is a rental property, renter emailed me that picture today.They were pretty freaked out. I guess i'm going hunting tomorrow :shutup:

I second poking it with a stick and seeing what runs out. Please make a video and use a short stick.

Yeah , i noticed that also . But i really need to replace all that old 1950s aluminum wiring before the place burns down. It only has 6 breakers on a single phase, then i can insulate. I also want to add central AC , but theres a limit you want to spend on a rental property.
