My helper, was debating why we did a job with hard pipe versus gas-tite. I explained either way, I am going to spend a bit of money. For example:
Flex pipe cost about 5 times the expense of hard pipe. In addition, the fittings cost about 8x the cost of hard fittings.

Granted, the money saved on materials will be lost on labor. As an employee, wouldn't you rather get the money as opposed to Gas-Tite?

As in most things in life, there is a balancing point. You always take cost into consideration. But I would rather the $ go towards the help versus the manufactorer.
