Here's part of my 'almost done' tile job, in my 'almost done' kitchen. It just needs to be buffed and sealed yet. I just got the grout in today after about 3 days worth of 'pre-cutting' and one day of installing. Wheww!!
Good idea putting it on the diagonal. Much better look.
Why the diamond tile in front of the stove? Is there a reason you didn't extend the border to go in front of the stove?
Not that it looks bad, just wondering.
I would like to see the rest.
That's the only spot where I 'stopped' the border (and also the doorways). Just wanted to do something 'different' and 'original'. I also think it makes the 'corridor' area look bigger by not 'ending' with a border, it kind of makes the eye 'wander'. There are also 3 'square' brown tiles where the breakfast barstools will go. More pics on the way. (hopefully in a few minutes).
Very nice job Tom. Really attractive. I just finished a kitchen & butler's pantry with Travetine. When I get time to get pictures I'll post them. The kitchen is about 12' x 12'. I ran two courses around the perimeter and then laid the middle diagionaly.
