the darned flap thing at the back, the one that you flip up to tilt the saw- broke. The hinge let go. I went to the dealer and he had a new one and put it on - only $2 bucks.

Here I am today two weeks later, and the same darned hinge thing breaks again!
got a call into the dealer to see if he has another hinge. Something else must be wrong, why else would the hinge be breaking?

I've got three jobs on the go right now, can't afford to have my saw down :( I might have to run out and get a Makita/Dewalt/Milwaukee backup saw. Money that I had pegged for my truck insurance next month - damn!!!!!

First time that a chop saw has let me down.

Never had it happen or heard of it happening. Call Festool service the number is on the saw. They may be able to help. If it is less than 3 years old they owe you for the part also.
