I stepped into my attic earlier today to check the layout while planning some additional lighting. While I was up there I noticed the purlins and a few other areas didn't seem safe/adequate, but I don't know much about framing. Attached are a few pictures I took if anyone could let me know what if anything is wrong and possibly cite the code pertaining. My house is in North Houston, and built in 2012. Thanks...

I just typed in purlin codes in Google.
The ICC is a great organization and you can subscribe and have access to updated code information at your computer anytime.
