6:27pm Got a call from a customer with a question about his Franke hot water dispenser.

6:32pm Went to Franke web site - no answer!

6:43pm Did a search on CT - no previous threads!

6:46pm Posted new thread with question!

7:11pm Got my suspicion confirmed by KillerToiletSpider :clap: (after some smart a$$ answers from some people who shall remain nameless - bert & RS)!

7:39pm Called customer with answer. Emailed invoice to customer for my time (2-1/2 times rate (holiday pay) - 1 hour min)!

7:40 Typing "Is this site great or what?" post! :clap:

Original call from customer to call back to customer with answer 1 hour - 12 min (after biz hours).

This is why I hang-out here. Thanks! It is a great site! :thumbup:

The part about the invoice was a joke. But when I called him, he said he thought I would call him in the next day or two. He's very appreciative. And said something like "I owe you..."

I told him that "..we should just get that addition underway - that would be payment enough...":clap:

Oh, come on DaVinci, we were just playing with you until a guy like Killer could provide you with some solid advice. I'm not a plumber.

If it were an electrical question, I'd be right there for you and if I didn't know, I would have at least given you an idea how to solve it on line until a guy like 480 could answer it.

Now let me get this straight: Killer answers the question - RS posts some smart a$$ answer - Angus joins the thread an hour later - And you guys want drinks?

I'm glad the plumbers could help. They are usually an ornery bunch. They must have been into the eggnog at the time.

I like it not only for the ability to get good answers here, but also I got 3 jobs from folks who found me on this site. I never had to bid against another contractor & all paid my price no problemo. What's not to like........other than the stupid craiglist post........oh yeah the how much $ for this job.

Well, everytime I call my divorce lawyer with a question, he charges me like $100!

... I wish he was kidding
