I stumbled across this site today.
Template Central
They provide logo templates for $229. The logos are not sold to more than one customer. You just pick out the one you like and add your company name.

I like this method better than having a design company come up with something custom. I tried that once and I didn’t like the results at all. I then went back and forth with the logo company for months to get my money back! At least with this method you know what your getting before you pay anything.

For those of you starting a business or if you just want a new look this may be a good place to start.

I went through each and every logo at the site because the company I work for NEEDS a new logo and none even sparked a bit of interest.

Not enough construction related logo's... but I went back to look again and I think I can take a few concepts from a few logos and mix them into a decent logo.

Since everyone is looking, anyone have a lead to company that cuts stencils? I don't want to buy decals for my equipment, but I would love to have some different sized stencils so I can paint the logo and name.....a kid at the sing shop said he could do it on the plotter, but wasn't interested since he would have to buy a whole roll of oil paper or whatever...surely some company cuts these.

If you don't like the logos, you ask for another round but give them more details of what you are looking for in logo design.
