Hey guys...

I purchased from Granger a Werner Level-Master Auto Ladder Leveler for my 32 ft. aluminum ladder...

Instructions call for installing at the second bottom rung and then cutting off the length just before it... I don't see why I can't just install at the bottom rung and not have to cut anything off...

A second question is that if calls for drilling 6 holes each side to mount the leveler legs using a 9/32 inch drill bit... wondering if I could just use a 5/16 inch drill bit instead...

if anyone has installed this, I would love to know your thoughts and recommendations... the werner # went to some dumb voice mail box and haven't been able to speak to anyone there directly...

thanks in advance for your help

Your not supposed to install it on the bottom because that would be extending the ladder past its normal maximum height. I would use the exact drill bit, I wouldn't want any movement of that particular part
