I'm sure most of us do this more than we like to tell our wives (like they don't know). As I was walking through Sears today I saw a 7 1/4" sliding miter saw w/laser & after playing with the display for a few minutes I ended up putting one in the cart. it was 119$ & I had a 10$ off coupon so I figured what the heck. I like the small portable size & the fact it uses 7 1/4" blades which I probably have hundreds of. I got home & read some reviews of it & it seems to get favorably reviewed. So if any one has one of these how do you like it ? I have an 18volt Makita cordless which is an 8 1/4" & blades are scarce & pricy, plus it only spins at 2000 rpm, where the craftsman spins at 5000 rpm.

Its ok if you only use it once in a while and take care of it. One of my guys has that one. We beat it up pretty good. Price was right though. Good luck.

I'd love to get a 71/4 inch slider, be perfect for what I do. Plus thin cheap blades and really light and compact.

For that money how can you go wrong?

That was the key, the right price! It also isn't a tool I will use everyday.
if its not the most precise saw, use it as your beater or for cutting decking. i worked for a guy who had one, it was good for cutting decking but terrible for interior finish work. then theres the good bad thing. blades for it were easy to replace only he wouldnt buy a new blade for it
Not a bad little saw. I use it a lot for engineered flooring.
