a little history;
Replaced 2 single hung windows and a set of sliding patio doors (all vinyl double pain) in a bungalow in the spring. Just got an email from the customer complaining about ice building up on the interior of the window sills and the patio doors.
The windows and doors that were installed are not the top end or the bottom end. We are just coming out of a deep freeze here (about -30c) for the last 2 weeks.
I explained to her that this is likely condensation from humidity and freezing but she says she has turned off her humidifier. She does not have blinds on these windows or doors. I have not seen this yet, I am heading over there on Friday to have a look and check the hunidity levels in the house.
Anyone else have any different opinions on the possible cause(s). Windows and doors were installed properly and insulated. I get this in my own house when I leave the blinds closed but not when they are left open a few inches.
TIA.........
Cheers
