Just waiting for someone to hack into...
Saw a story about it on the news this morning
I saw that on 60 minutes last night as well. They are also starting to deliver groceries in 2 select cities.
What? You're missing your delivery drone? It's definitely not in use on my job site...anywhere...yeah...I've not seen it anywhere...sorry...
Hahaha- exactly my thoughts.

Guess that GPS might have more than one use... :whistling
I wonder how our lives will change when there's drones running overhead in all our neighborhoods...
That thing sounds like a cross between a leaf blower and a mosquito on steroids. I wouldn't tolerate it for long.
I ordered one of those spring loaded nail sets last week when someone posted about it. I ordered it online from eBay at about 3:00 pm one afternoon. My USPS letter carrier delivered it at about 11:00 am the next morning. It actualy came from Amazon.com. I don't know how they did it.
See? That's exactly why we need drones. Waiting 20 hours for stuff is ridiculous. Who can wait that long?

If they ever figure it out, walmart is in big trouble.
My question is will amazon be running it or will it be contracted out to UPS to do my delivery, I have a hard enough time now getting UPS to not throw my stuff to the ground at the door, I can imagine how this will go, drone at 10 feet off the ground, ok drop the package.
Usually I get stuff from amazon in 2 days, but it has taken them over 2 weeks. They are saying this won't happen for another 5 years though
I'll believe this when i see electric cars on the road......oh wait, damn...

they said as early as 2015.....cant imagine many making it to their destinations...how long could that battery last? are we to that point already?
... Do you guys think that Amazon hasn't looked at nearly every variable? In case you missed it, it will be limited to within 10 miles of a DC.

I would guess this would not be allowed for numerous reasons. Way too much liability for one. What stops it from landing on you or your kids, what stops it from dropping out the sky, what stops people from stealing them. $5-$7k worth of gear on one means its a high theft risk.

I noticed UPS are in on this as well so other areas can use this feature.

My personal oppinion....

It's a bad idea.....
