Having started out as an apprentice carpenter, I closed my general contracting company in South Florida after 30 successful years of non-residential construction and retired to Colorado. I have been a regular volunteer with Metro Denver Habitat for Humanity since the beginning of '09. Since one of the board members is an electrical contractor and the affiliate is so large, we do all our own electrical work for the homes we construct (~38/year). As such, I am currently a certified Colorado electrical apprentice. I always wanted to learn the trade and I'm having a great time.
