Promar 400, 200, Superpaint, HD Glidden Premium,

I have used all paints and I believe Glidden Premium is just as good as Promar 200. Superpaint is a bit better. And of course Duration is best. What do you think?

And yes, I hate behr.

Superpaint for me too. Its been a steady performer. Others - SW has been reformulating many products over the last few years to take costs out of them due to shipping / fuel etc. There have been some problems and they acknowledge them. Especially with ProMar. Don't hesitate to get your money back on products that don't perform even though its the labor that's hard to absorb.

I would not go near Glidden even though I'm tempted to try some Gripper. Seems like it keeps popping up in the mags / articles.

I've always liked Super Paint and the Pro Mar lineup. What makes the pro mar lineup attractive to me is the variety of sheen levels available. The lo-sheen 200 is perfect for most of my customers needs. I've noticed it's got the perfect sheen level and touches up well. I've just discovered the 200 gloss product, it's a pretty decent trim paint. Getting ready to use it in a fairly big project.

I wish the Super Paint lineup consisted of an eggshell finish but it doesn't. For coverage purposes, you certainly can't go wrong with the Super Paint. I don't use Glidden, can't comment on that.

I used to love PM 200 but something changed about it a couple years back. Things that used to cover well in two coats were starting to need three sometimes. We use Cashmere because it has high end looks worth the extra $ It always takes two coats (which we do anyway) but the leveling quality and the rich looking texture are worth it. I think Super Satin is a little too shiny. Duration Matte is ok for ultra deeps but the satin and semi gloss I wouldnt paint my garage with. Ugly , set up too fast and show all brush and roller textures.
