I have been kicking around the idea of doing some blog commenting...has anyone had any real success with this?
Right now, just bringing traffic to the site. I completely redid the site and now working on the ongoing SEO side of it. Just seeing the best way to do it.Success with what? What do you want to get out of it?
I have found some contracting blogs that contractors update themselves and I have been following them for a bit. I also do linking through LinkVana to drive traffic. Just seeing if I am missing anything out there ya know.It can help but it is usually part of an overall strategy.
If you can reach out to a company whos viewers would be good potential customers then those are the people you would want to reach out to and build a relationship with. And that usually involves just commenting without adding your link for a while.
All I am used to doing is blogging, reviews, commenting, and LinkVana...I am trying to find different avenues to go down. ThanksYou can achieve almost the same success but do it in a branded way that gives "relevance" to the social and local community. That I think what they mean by white hat anyhow. ..
Thank you very Much!Blog commenting still works, but it's a beaten to death tactic. Some automated programs will generate thouands of blog comments for you, however what used to work really well 2 years will tank your site in no time now. Best thing to, set your google alerts to terms that will bring you traffic. Example, if your a plumbing company that specializes in water heaters set your alerts to new water heater model or updated water heater model. Once you get a few set up the alerts will trigger, now if you get a blog that triggered your alert take a second and comment on it if you can, same for local area blogs, use this technique with g+ and you should see some results.
