Home Theatre Installation - RCA Connector Type - Installer Preferences

Its that time of year for those getting calls from home owners asking to rewire those fancy new tv sets.

I would like to know your preferences on using these types of RCA connectors for home theater installs:

RCA to RCA (for short patch cable runs) - Conceal cables between equipment and tv.

RCA to Coax - Longer cable runs and coax cable preference.

RCA to UTP Cable - Longer cable runs and UTP cable preference.

Whats the main reason to use RCA over HDMI or DVI?

I cant remember the last time i used a RCA connection.
SR AMX or any cheap chinese no name brand.

Thomas and Betts for F and BNC, but for RCA I use Straight Wire.

RCA to UTP Cable - Longer cable runs and UTP cable preference.
Muxlab, Key Digital and Ethereal.

Then you don't do any video distribution. HDMI and DVI work well in some instances, but many jobs require analogue audio and digital coax audio over RCA. Plus HDMI is such a PITA many times you end up doing component anyway.
I use component video for long runs for sure. Here is a good source for A/V Cables.

Ethereal or Belden Mini coax bundle with 5 Mini RG-59 and a Cat 5. F-Con compression fittings for RCA on RG-6,59,mini.
