I've got a blocked Hilti CF-DS1 foam gun. I've seen a few folk here have disassembled them to clean them up, but I can't see any screws holding it together and I don't wanna crack the plastic by forcing it apart.

Any ideas how to properly break it down for cleaning?

Cheers
Simon

If its the barrel its self just get a mini wire brush and clean the barrel. The body its self is just a 3 compression clips that are PIA to get off. They snap back together like a dream though.

If cleaning the tip with a knife doesn't work throw it in the garbage...there is a reason they give you the gun for free.

I've broken down 3 of them with mixed results. They use lok-tite to secure the barrel to the valve body. Can't use heat, due to the plastic, so it's a matter of locking it into a bench vise and loosening it. The needle valve comes out after that. As mentioned, they do not clean well and I've noticed reduced performance after reassembly.

Better off buying a new one and making sure that they are maintained better (acetone between cans and NEVER leaving it without a new can
