Just had roof installed on coastal house I am building and high winds from Ida(storm) blew off some shingles on the waterfront side. I know they did not have time to get tacky but aside from that what can be done to ensure that never happens again. used Tamko 30 yr.

You need a heavy, highly dense shingle for those conditions. There is no way to improve upon the existing shingles that I know of.

U should have researched those costal conditions, instead of going with the most cost effective product! so sorry.
