Hello all, I'm a long time lurker who decided to jump into the fray! I'm 28 and have worked in construction since my sophomore year of college (mostly for other people). I have decided to give working for myself a go after being laid off from a framing company. I'm in Raleigh, NC, and I hope I can contribute to your community, I've already learned quite a bit from lurking.

Hello from WNC.

Just in case you REALLY want to contribute. I have a friend in Raleigh that spend all his money on his house and wants me to turn key his 1000sq' bonus room. I don't want to drive 4 hours to work every morning. Don't forget, he spent all his money on the main house. Probably will only pay in beer and burgers.

Yea, that's what I thought. I will be done there doing it one day. Really though, does two adults and two children need an extra 1000sq' on a 3500 footer?
