I need some help with what kind of tile this is. I can only take a picture of it because the owner doesn't have any extra tiles left and he won't let me remove a tile due to it being in their lobby. It was installed over 30 years ago and I have to match it when I remodel their lobby. Any help would greatly appreciated.

It looks like tile from a Taco Bell. A lot of chain restaurants use that type of tile. I don't remember what it is but, I know I have replaced it before. I have done several repairs for retail stores where I have to match tile. They don't understand it usually takes more time to find the tile than it does to install it.
Good luck,
Jeff

Thirty years ago most likely just 3x6 red quarry with what looks to be some topical coating put on by the cleaning service.
Most quarry's supplied in the north east thirty years ago were supplied by american olean.

I think you'll find those tiles re 4x8. Could be A.O. or any number of other brands. Even if the client had extras, they would not resemble those in use. The customer is being unreasonable.
