Got a spare furnace and A/C unit from the in-laws - father in law tell him the techs that removed it said that the p-valve was sticking and that it needed to be replaced (they said it's an easy fix and cheap).

Can someone enlighten me? Is it a furnace or A/C component? How easy to acquire one??

Thanks!

Pressure Valve or Pressure Sensor is my guess. Part of the safety circuit.
Wait on a 100% sure reply from someone else before acting on my guess.

It could be some regional lingo for the pilot valve if it's a gas fired furnace. You would most likely just replace the whole gas valve though, on a residential system.
