I just found this site and joined today, from what I've seen I think it will be very informative and a great tool to reference from now on.
I live just north of Boston and I began working for myself this past year. I have 10 years in the business of residential design and remodeling, mainly focusing on kitchens and baths. I started as a designer for a big box store then moving onto a privately owned, high end showroom, where I expanded my knowledge to scheduling and overseeing subcontractors and project management. All the while I was working on the side as an installer. I then received my state construction supervisors license and insurance and went out on my own.
I am always looking to expand my subcontractor base and reach out to those in other related fields in hopes to find good information and more contacts that is why I feel this site will be a valuable resource in expanding my business.
