Hats or Shirts?

Looking at getting some lettered clothes. Leaning towards hats for us but I tend to read the shirts in public. I'm thinking bright orange for the shirts. If I just do the hats I'm getting grey or brown so they don't look dirty always.

What's your opinion? What would make you feel better when someone comes to work on your house? I've already got a lettered Van so it's not a secret who I am.

I’m in the process of getting my logo done, and I’m going to get shirts, maybe some jackets.

I won’t get hats, as I personally don’t wear baseball hats, and putting my logo on my Stetson might look weird. 🤣😳

I also think that all the crew wearing logo shirts looks professional.

Hands down uniforms or shirts. Way more professional. I have uniforms for my boys & it’s well worth it. Nobody coming to work in holy jeans, black tshirts sporting man buns

Thanks. I do always wear a baseball hat because of roofing nails but I wear it backwards with the headlamp on it. But I'll keep that in mind.

I’m hoping on my next big concrete pour, all the guys on my crew can have my logo shirts.

It’d look pretty cool. 👍

Crawling in attics?

Man I hate that. 😡 Tagged myself a few times. I actually wear my hard hat in attics sometimes. 👍

Curious what does that do for the roofing nails

I lost a hardhat in the blow in of an attic once not fun took me 15 min and I had to have fall protection on because it was a commercial job. I'm fast in attics though and that's how I get the moola. Not nearly as fast in new construction but good enough. My area is all old electricians so my high attic price but only 1 or 2 days vs a week of a guy who should be retired looks good to my customers.

No hat meant a big bloody scratch you absolutely want something on your head. I've scratched and heard the bone once when I was 18 and from then on I keep a hat on in attics always. The parts I have to get to is often only 12 inches tall and then I extend my arm over to catch wires I've fished up though the top plate.

Gotcha. I’ve been in thousands of attics but can’t see a ball cap providing protection. Just sayin

As silly as it is it does make a big difference. I don't jump in willy nilly so if something starts to poke I feel the nail before it stabs through.

I just got my first set of hats, going to be getting shirts this summer. Hats for the winter and tshirts for the summer IMO.

I do hats, shirts, sweet shirts, hoodies.

IMO, decent shirts go way farther than hats to promote a pro look. Yes, they cost more than hats. People know that; hats are a dime a dozen relatively speaking.

Orange wouldn't be my first choice though, unless that's tied in with a company color.

Love the medieval castle logo. 👍

My colors are black and red, but I’m going to do some orange, because I do so much dirt work, concrete , and excavation.

Otherwise I’d just stick to my colors. 👍
I wear a company shirt everyday and have for years.
I got a few hats this year because my kids wanted hats over shirts. I found wearing it work made it do dirty it didn’t show the logo well

Curious about that rationale. Is it for safety or looks? Not sure which shows dirt less, but I think fluorescent green really does work better for safety visual impact.
