No way I'd pay that much for a bigger rig. If you can stand used, look on FB Marketplace or CL. I picked up a Speedflo 5500 on CL about 2 years ago for $600. It has both gas & electric motors and I can switch one out for the other in under a minute. Also pumps more GPM's than a Mark V. More than twice as much when using the gas motor. Capable of running multiple lines without suffering pulsation or heavy pressure fluctuations. Best bang for your buck. I've also had Speedflos in the 6900 and 8900 sizes, but 5500 is more than capable of doing just about anything a painter would ever need. I see them often for well under 1k.

Or, you can pay 18 times as much and get the Mark V. Your choice.

 

You'll probably have to watch Craigslist for a while to find a 5k sprayer for 500$. It's doable, but eventually someone will fence somebody else pump for a little crack money lol.

 

My question would be what is the primary intended use for this sprayer?
It‘s crazy how expensive sprayers have become in recent years.

 

I need a mark 5 for a set of aplatech automatic drywall finishing tools. But they are pricey. Cheapest one I found on marketplace was like 3 k.and that's used . Wanted to see if tits. Or anyone else makes a machine that will power those tools
