Hi-

I have a Graco XR9 sprayer, that seems to prime up ok, and seems to build pressure, but as soon as I squeeze the trigger, I get only a weak stream of paint. Any ideas?

It also has a new pressure switch installed at Sherwin Williams.

I'm not exactly sure what you mean by "weak stream of paint", but if I had to guess, I would say that your tip is clogged. Is it a reversible tip? Have you tried blowing it out? If it is reversible, are you sure you're spraying with the right side of the tip? (Sorry but ya never know).

I always store my tips in a can of clean lacquer thinner so the material doesn't dry up inside them and ruin the tips.

Might also be worthwhile to check your filters and clean them if necessary. Could be that your gun filter is so clogged the paint can't get to the tip fast enough.

I don't know how much experience you have with sprayers so I thought i'd add this just in case:

Release all pressure from the sprayer and unplug it from the wall before you attempt to remove the gun!
