Home owner is responsible for providing clean and accessible work space, trim trees or bushes, if any buried bodies found during excavation, it is solely homeowner responsibility and so forth...add anything you need to cover yourself and what you have to do to get the job done
something as important as a vine and the construction should have been outlined in the scope of work. Seems logical the wysteria vine was PART of the vision the customer had-consider including wording that describes the extent of trimming on future projects. In general, anything that would be really important to a HO, such as the prized rose garden on a siding installation, should be mentioned in the scope of work. I bet the vines could have been reasonably salvaged...but the HO should be made aware of the additional time involved (prepainting/staining of material/wrapping vines/etc..). Sounds like a lost source of income!
