A gc we do a fair ammount of work for issued us a work order last monday and says he needs 110' of 6" commercial galvanized gutter and 50' 6" galvanized downspout replaced by Wednesday. Also prime the fascia board.

The work order says HotLead! $1,200 Must be done by Wednesday.

I called him up to ask him what he was smoking, this is at very least a $3,000 job without even looking, probably closer to 4. He cops an attitude. I tell him I can't be there until thursday and to measure and it will take at least two days to fabricate the necessary gutter. More attitude.

I'm supposed to pay for his mistake? Another GC received his walking papers.

Bye bye! If you have been taking care of his accounts, he will come around.
What's he going to get from anyone else, chuckles, laughs?

Yea, that's what it seams like. It sucks because you probably feel you have been working hard to have a good business relationship with them, and then this comes up.
If they are not the kind of people that you can have a sit down with and calmly explain the reality of the situation, then it's probably best to dump em before it get's worse.

Kiss 'em off and watch what happens. Some body will grow smaller shorts if you have been dealing with them honestly..
