Any ideas on how to remove paint chalking from exterior brick ?
Customer has 3 round gable vents and the white paint has bled ,
but they are in the front of the house and there's no inconspicuous
place to test chems. cleaners etc. Powerwashed at 3500 PSI and
it didn't budge . thanks in advance

How about a wire brush?
Varsol? but that may just smudge it

A wire brush unless it is brass or stainless will turn the brick black.

Try a paint remover from a company called Prosoco.

What you probably have is called chalking, aluminum (if that is what they are) is prone to do that.

Brass will turn the brick "brassy"
Brass will turn the brick "brassy"

I have to admit,I take a wire brush to brick about every 10 th blue moon. With that said, possibly the brick I took the brass brush to were colors that the brass was not noticeable because I cannot recall them turning "brassy"

I've only done it once, and it was on old soft brick. The brass is softer than the brick (which is why i chose to use it) and rubbed off on the brick. When i tried to remove the brassy finish I couldn't get it off, not with a pressure washer (set pretty low), not with any cleaners.

Maybe on a modern harder brick the brass wouldn't "grab" the brick in the same way. I don't know, i just won't try again.
