Surely couldn't make a living at it, but it is fun. I do have a problem with my pricing. I am starting to pick up a clientele for shelves, wineracks, chit like that. Nedd to learn how to speed things up. Am going to start doing more work with pocket screws. Built this set of shelves using nothing but dados. Sides were carvedup pretty good. Meant to take a pic before IO put it together, but forgot. Please excuse the mess.....working on 2 seperate jobs and the lady that ordered this moved up the date needed by a month.

very nice. might have to get some longer bench legs so you can sand the top of it though:w00t:
nice work! most important tool there...the coffee!
Took the pic first thing this morning before it was picked up. Had a meeting to have a deck inspected mid morning so had some time to kill

Once it's gone I don't worry about the top any more. The bench I'm using doubles as my table saw when needed.

If that's a mess you don't ever want to see my shop. :whistling
I actually did a little hoeing out this weekend.

Inspector loved the deck and couldn't find anything wrong...told the HO what a beautiful job I had done and that it was nice to see a little craftsmanship. She like to hear it almost as much as I did.

Your shop kicks my arse. :)...so does your work. I built this using two 12" wall cabinets....the top I ripped down to 10". I used all job site tools...wish I had at least a contractors hybrid saw sometimes.... I used Dados, pocket screws and biskets.... Absolutly nothing fancy about it.

And absolutely nothing wrong with the finished product. I worked with all jobsite tools until last year...started investing more into the finish side of my work....getting older and really not looking forward to crawling around on a roof for the nest 15-20 years. During the winter I can keep it fairly clean and organized. During the summer I'm in and out..small pieces for the job site and no time to do anything but make a mess.

Actually amazed me at what people are willing to pay for something as simple as that book shelf. It is built to be a multy generational piece. I think you could throw it off the back of the truck at 40 mph and it would bounce and remain square....Bunch of nurses kicked in and bought it for one of their co-workers for a baby shower gift.
