Hi,

I am having the 2nd floor of my cape ripped off and a full 2nd story addition put on. I have a stainless doublewall chimney that I installed after taking out the cinderblock one (from previous renovation we needed to move the chimney).

The chimney will be located in an undesirable location in the new 2nd floor.

I have an oil fired hotwater baseboard heat system. What are my options to deal with this chimney? Do they make a direct vent oil fired furnace?

Almost any boiler can be vented by use of a "Power Venter" and or you could replace the entire unit with a direct vent unit by Weil McLean, or Burnham also has a unit for direct venting.
