wondering if anyone knows of any programs online that offers a free PDF scanning program. I am currently using the acrobate x pro, but it only has a 30 day trial and the cost if really expensive to buy. I need a program that will allow me to scan and make a PDF from it. Any input would be appreciated.

CutePDF has been a well known free pdf program for a long time.

Which ever one you decide on, the ones that "function" like Acrobat are your best choice. What I mean by that is not all converters use the print function like Acrobat does. Some use an "engine" so they can't convert all formats. As long as the converter runs through the print command, then it will convert any file your computer can print.

My HP Scanner/Printer/FAX lets me choose how to save the scanned file or picture. PDF is a choice and I use it regularly.

I use a small program called PrimoPDF. It is really easy to figure out. It installs as a printer on your system so you basically just print to it and it outputs as a .pdf file. It also allows you to set passwords and certain permissions if I remember correctly, and it is FREEEEEEE :clap:
