Sad, but it sounds like something that damn wil-e-coyote is responsible for. He never could put stuff together correctly.
Freak Accident
I just read an article in the post that in France a guy using a circular saw had a heart attack and the disk on the saw broke off ( assuming they meant the blade) and set off fireworks stored near by causing an explosion... Moments later another explosion happened causing the wall to collapse sending many to the hospital with serious injuries.

It was a grinder disc that broke.
Grinding something around gun powder doesn't seem like a freak accident to me, more of a darwin awards thing.
