what are the ways to properly frame a corner?

specifically when two exterior walls come together to form 90degrees
pics would help. my main concern is insulating the corner.

thanks

I changed my mind. Bounty's right on this one. Framing an outside corner is the least of your worries in framing a structure.

Very nice of you mike, but the pics got me thinking that I got my framers overframing.....I've always used total of four studs in outside corner.

Mike, nice to see that you are up on things. The 3 stud corner allows for more insulation in a weak point.

cool discussion---

we always make triples... I= 1 2x--- III. Obviously, nailing a wall to that works because the triple is 4 1/2"...and nailing a 2x to it provides nailing for an inside corner...anyway...to spice things up: What if you are framing 2x6 walls?

ps Teetor, great call with the insulation value deal. Was waiting for that.
