We like straps. Chalk all of our lines to square up the sill plate. Staple the sill pad to the bottom and use our Hilti powder acuated gun to pin it down. Nail the straps and off we go without having to deal with bolts landing where our i-joists end up. Today our client changed the concrete patio to finished space. We had not poured the concrete yet so the area was dug out, turned into a crawl space, and i-joist's added. To attach the sill, since straps were not put in at the time of the pour, we used 1/2" x 4" LDT's. Just curious on other framers preferences.
