And why is it in such a crappy looking place...? That should be somewhere it can be admired. Not with a brick wall as a background and a crappy looking parking lot.

It's quite awesome looking though!

You are most welcome ! Been thinking about trying it for sometime since I stumbled across the video. Then started to think,wow that would be a ton of work to just say I did it.


It is like the op said,heck of a thing in front of a garage.


Really cool though.

That is a method, but it is not the only one. They had it tough because of the arch they were making, too though. The one in the original post needed no brick cutting, and they probably just measured exposed corners to keep the spiral on track over regular falsework.

Couldnt even wrap my brain around the patience that would require. That form would have me crying curled up in a corner.

I do some masonry, but THAT, that is true professionalism and skill there. Wish I could do that, but hell Im good just admiring it!
