foreclosures

I'm looking for some foreclosures for cheap in Louisiana to fix up and turn. I've never done this before. I know nothing about sheriff sales and how they work. I like to do my own searches without the haggle of real estate agents. Any help on how to get started would be appreciated.

From what i have been told you are a day late and a dollar short. This was the way a few years ago, but due to crooked appraisers and loan originators this is over. Appraisals are tough now, people can not get financing. You can pick them up cheap and put a renter in it until future. Good luck anyhow. Realtor will be your best bet. Buying at a sheriff sale will be sight unseen You could get burnt at the sheriffi sale.
Welcome to the forum. You will get a lot more help here if you go to the introduction area and tell us a (short) bit of info about your business including your location.
Save up 200k before you buy your first one. You will thank me later.
Foreclosure Work

Mike,

If you are looking for work on foreclosed homes. The best way is to not only contact Realtors with REO ( fancy for bank owned ) properties, but try the Mortgage Bankers Association website, mortgagebankers.com they have listings of several bank contacts. The loss mitigation dept is what you are looking for. Good Luck!
