I am just about ready to replace my floor runners (8 @ 4 1/2' x 15' butal backed tarp runners) There are several different brands of nice spun poly with rubber backing. Kind of like this stuff. http://www.toolsforfloors.com/miscellaneous/floor-protection/ftfr40x164-floor-liner.html

I am ANAL about tarping and keeping a clean jobsite so what other products are you guys using

I've never tried this, but I want to soon. I keep noticing it at my local lumber yard:

Anyone tried it?
This is what we use...http://www.protectiveproducts.com/productline.html

the carpet protector works great, you can get rolls rolled backwards for stair use, and the dura runner works for everything from floors to counters to tubs etc.
Craig, this is what we use for protecting hard flooring: floor protection or reinforced kraft paper.

For carpets, we use this: carpet protection film .

We liek this stuff as its rated longer than the other ones we've found and they also run discounts if you sign up for their email newsletter. We're also Anal!
Thanks for the responces

SDC I am ordering the tub protecter from the company you posted that should be a good purchase as I set tile in about 35 tubs a year.

Yes, great stuff. Lays flat, doesn't crinkle or tear. You could possibly leave it untaped, but it may slide a bit. Pick it back up and reuse it a couple of jobs.
The job we are on now, we are using a layer of builders paper, taped on the seams, covered by 1/4" masonite which is also taped with gorilla tape. This is protecting a 100 year old maple floor. I know it has protected the floor at least twice now. (A chunk of plaster falling and a crow bar falling off the scaffold ).
