Wanted to ask some advice about leveling a concrete slab. My house has 18" tile through out except the bedrooms and the family room which has carpet and then backups to our kitchen which is tile. My question is, instead of removing all the tile in the house have you guys ever removed the carpet and just floated the floor out to close the height gap to the tile and then laid laminate or vinyl over the tile? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. The tile is in good condition and my house is only 6 years old. I'm just sick of the beige tile.
