After I remove my old garage we're building a much improved 3-car with a loft. I want to run gas out to it which is about 45' from existing house/gas line. Any code violation if I run a flexible line? Do they run this flexible gas line inside some type of piping for added safety/protection?
I've tried to buy 3/8" yellow bendable gas line for my Dad's yard lanterns. No one had it except the gas company & of course they would not sell it to me.

Yep i have had the same problem here. I have always used yellow pvc pipe underground or copper inside schedule 40. Neither are allowed under code here as far as i know. Crazy thing is i never heard of one issue with either type ever.
